Jarmo Ikonen is an Finnish Industrial Designer. He has graduated from Lahti Institute of Design and fine Arts in 2010.
He has been working internationally on different projects as a freelancer since 2012. His clients have been small startups to middle sized companies and business individuals looking for a new product ideas. He has done work mainly to United states, but also to Europe and Asia.
His main interest in design is how to make the new product to be the best it can be for everyday use. He sees from the users perspective and tries to challenge the first ideas to find something that has not been thought before. He is not interested to make just pretty designs but to make them useful and helpful for the consumers, something that really brings more value into this world.
Jarmo has excellent skills for sketching, 3d modelling and visualisation. He has experience from developing product concepts from ground up and designing them to prototype level. He has won numerous design competitions. He is very interested in Parametric and Algorithm-aided design.
